a gift to be opened every day (p.16)
This week’s beauty came in two parts.
Part one began with thoughts of what I fill my days with. And how each of those days is a looking glass into my year.
Are my days reflecting how I wish my year to look? Am I choosing what’s most important to me?
Or am I squandering away parts of my day unknowingly distracted?
That is where part two opened with time.
Time is interesting. It is one commodity that we can’t save up nor earn more of.
Each day we wake up, we are blessed with another day. We get to decide how we wish to spend our time because it will be entirely used by the end of each day. And how we spent it and with what frame of mind is all our choosing.
Am I appreciating it or frustrated by it? Why on earth would I be frustrated when I can see the gift that it truly is?
So, this week I have become more aware of how I fill my days, choosing more of what’s important to me and leaving what is not. Appreciating even the days of ordinary and realizing the gold that they are.
Time, it’s measured differently. It’s not how much did I save of it or how hard I worked for it, but how well I treasured and filled it.
May we all see time as it truly is, a gift that is meant to be opened every day and enjoyed. ❤️
